Linda (Hawdon) Hall was born on St. Joseph Island and has been painting
since 1983. She has participated in numerous work-shops held by master
painters such as Gloria Koski, Helan Barrick, and Mary Jane Todd.
In 1988, Linda established her first studio in Cobalt, Ontario. The studio, Northern Folkart Studio And Gallery, moved to St. Joseph Island in August of 1993. Linda's talents include teaching classes and doing custom orders.
Upon his retirement in 1996, Bryon has been able to participate more at the studio. Now, he can often be found assembling furniture in the back room.
The Studio
and Gallery are open year round (except January). Monday to Saturday
the store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During the summer months, the
studio is open Sunday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
